Summer is here

Spring didn't last long temperature wise; but the sprintime fishing pattern is still here. Bonefish,Tarpon and Permit are on the ocean side flats in pretty good numbers. I have been fishing from South Biscayne Bay to Key Largo and they have been cooperative.

Over at Flamingo the Redfish,Snook And Tarpon have been in good supply. The Tarpon are still chasing the Mullet west of the marina to the Middle Cape. The Snook have been on the points, flats edges, runoffs and on top of the flats. Cast to all the potholes; make sure to hit the points inside the hole, sometimes it takes a few cast before the Snook or Trout come up and hit the lure.
Another sure fire way we have been getting into some line pulling is to fish the mudding Sting Rays. The Sting Rays are kicking mud with their wings and the free loaders follow looking for an easy meal. Big Trout,Redfish and decent Jacks normally follow and will eat a lure or fly placed into the mudded area. The humid summer months will provide some quality fish the next few months.

The Snook spawn will be going strong for the next few months, this is the time for BIG SNOOK in the inlets. The evening Tarpon bite will stay strong for the next month then they will start to thin out.

The big fish are in give me a call for an great day on the water.
Let's go Catchin, Capt Jimbo
