Warmer, Windy and Hungry Fish!

I’m sorry the report is a little bit late for the last month; I was catching fish! I know I have said it was windy in a few reports, but it just has not slowed down. It has been common to fish in 15-25 mph. I’m lucky to fish out of Flamingo where we have hundreds of miles of shoreline in the backcountry. The winds aren’t completely bad! They create a little extra current on the islands point which in turn makes it an ambush spot for Snook. This is a great way to spend the day instead of cancelling trips like other areas do.

The Goliath really comes into play in the backcountry. We are fishing the Mangrove islands for Snook and Redfish but the Goliath Grouper also lives there. They are fun and pull allot harder than anything else.

If you go fishing for fun that is one fish, you will enjoy!

Its the busy time of year and just glad to be busy. If you would like to fish Flamingo, Key Largo or Biscayne Bay give me a call. If you have kids that like to fish, bring them. Fishing is only going to get better in next couple months, give me a call at 305 333 8149
